I love how every single one of my clients has a completely different style and look. And what better model to have, than one covered in some amazing tattoo artwork! Hayley is a makeup artist and was able to do her own makeup for this photo shoot, which matched perfectly with her style and lingerie choices. If you are not comfortable doing your own makeup to a high photographic standard, I always recommend having it done by a professional - they know all the tips and tricks to make you look even more amazing, enhance your natural features, and make you feel like a total bombshell.

I'm currently taking bookings in preparation for gifts for Christmas and Valentines Day, with only a few dates left for the remainder of the year. Contact me to find out more information!

Boudoir photo season is ramping up again for this year, and lots of my clients are booking in preparation for their wedding - what a fabulous idea as a gift to your fiancee! My pricing for boudoir sessions includes all edited digital images, so you are free to design and order your own album, in your own time - or, I am also more than happy to help, and order from my own professional print supplier. Albums are a perfect way to display your boudoir images, particularly if you're not keen on having them up on the walls for potentially anybody to see.

If you'd like to book your own boudoir session, whether it be for a wedding gift, or "just because", please contact me and I'll be in touch to discuss all the details.

Sooo this was my first couples boudoir shoot - and I LOVED it!! Even more so than a regular boudoir shoot. The vibe between this couple was amazing, and we shared so many laughs throughout the session.

I was also thrilled with the feedback from my clients - "OMG I am so overwhelmed by the photos, they are just stunning, wow. What an amazing job you have done. Thank you so much, we will both cherish these forever"

Many people I talk to have never heard of a couples boudoir shoot, and/or think that it is perhaps pornographic in nature - which it totally isn't! Just like a regular boudoir session, it's intimate, sensual, classy and emotive - but it never crosses the line.

Couples boudoir sessions can also be done more clothed - so not necessarily in full lingerie. All of these poses can definitely be done in any type of outfit!  It's just a great opportunity to capture intimate moments with your partner, that you will treasure forever.
If you would like more information about my boudoir sessions - whether solo or coupled - or would like to go ahead and book your own, please don't hesitate to contact me today!

Jacqui | Brisbane boudoir photographer

A question I am often asked by my clients, is if I provide a boudoir wardrobe for them to wear for their photo session. The short answer is no - however I do have some gowns/robes and other accessories that can be used by my clients in addition to their own lingerie.

I ask clients to bring their own lingerie for a few reasons - number one, obviously being hygiene. I'm pretty certain most women don't want to wear tight, skimpy knickers that have already been worn, no matter how many times they've been washed before.

The next reason is another obvious one - sizing. I'm sure every woman has experienced the occasion where you buy something off the rack that is your size - only to try it on at home and realise it doesn't fit just right! Lingerie can be tricky to size - what looks amazing on one size 12, might look not so amazing on another size 12. It's all about body proportions, skin tone, size, and style preference. It would be almost impossible for me to keep my studio stocked with multiple sizing to cover everybody's needs.

Another big reason, is to personalise your own photos. By using lingerie that you have specifically chosen, that means something to you, ensures your boudoir session is unique and your photos hold more meaning.

So after having said all that, how many outfits do you need to bring? My answer is, as few or as many as you like. It's totally up to you. Most women choose to bring 2-3 sets of lingerie, and I find that amount works perfectly when transitioning between each posing set. As you can see from the session below, even with just one set of lingerie, we can create a full and varied gallery - especially when extra props (such as a shirt) are thrown in.

These are only a few selected images from this amazing recent session - I've picked a few of my absolute favourites to share with you today. Enjoy! x

Ellen | Brisbane boudoir photographer

Some of you may know that I am also a maternity and family photographer, which takes up most of my working week. However there is just something so different and empowering about photographing women - many in the peak of their life, coming to me to forget about their work, their children, the housework - whatever it may be - and just be present for themselves. And then I capture them in this moment.

They may not always feel sexy and confident in this exact moment - I keep it fun and chatty and I joke about how inflexible I am while I attempt to model some of the poses for them - I know that once they leave, and see their finished photos, they do get this wave of confidence, empowerment, and respect for their bodies, no matter how much they have changed over time. And that is exactly why I love what I do!

Sarah | Brisbane boudoir photographer

As a photography genre, what does boudoir mean to you? It can mean so many different things to different people. And I'm not here to tell you what it should mean to you. Each of my clients comes to me with a different lingerie style, different confidence, different life circumstances and a different expectation from their session. Each client fills out a detailed questionnaire prior to their photo session, and I plan each pose, lighting and direction individually, depending on their answers.

As your photographer, I tailor the session to you. With my experience and creative eye, you get the most amazing images - at an affordable price.

We had so much fun at this session below, celebrating a new direction in life for this client.

If you would like more information about my boudoir sessions, or would like to go ahead and book your own, please don't hesitate to contact me today!
